适用范围
本规范适用于抗震设防烈度为6、7、8和9度地区建筑工程的抗震设计以及隔震、消能减震设计。建筑的抗震性能性化设计，可采用本规范规定的基本方法。
抗震设防烈度大于9度地区的建筑及行业有特殊要求的工业建筑，其抗震设计应按有关专门规定执行。

【摘要】:Rupturetests,properlyinterpreted,provideameasureoftheultimateload-carryingabilityofamaterialasafunctionoftime.Creeptestsmeasuretheload-carryingabilityforlimiteddeformations.Thetwotestscomplementeachotherindefiningtheload-carryingabilityofamaterial.Inselectingmaterialanddesigningpartsforserviceatelevatedtemperatures,thetypeoftestdatausedwilldependonthecriterionofload-carryingabilitythatbetterdefinestheserviceusefulnessofthematerial.1.1Thesetestmethodscoverthedeterminationoftheamountofdeformationasafunctionoftime(creeptest)andthemeasurementofthetimeforfracturetooccurwhensufficientforceispresent(rupturetest)formaterialswhenunderconstanttensileforcesatconstanttemperature.Italsoincludestheessentialrequirementsfortestingequipment.Forinformationofassistanceindeterminingthedesirablenumberanddurationoftests,referenceshouldbemadetotheproductspecification.1.2Thesetestmethodslisttheinformationwhichshouldbeincludedinreportsoftests.Theintentionistoensurethatallusefulandreadilyavailableinformationistransmittedtointerestedparties.Reportsreceivespecialattentionforthefollowingreasons:(1)resultsfromdifferent,recognizedproceduresvarysignificantly;therefore,identificationofmethodsusedisimportant;(2)laterstudiestoestablishimportantvariablesareoftenhamperedbythelackofdetailedinformationinpublishedreports;(3)thenatureofprolongedtestsoftenmakesretestimpractical,andatthesametimemakesitdifficulttoremainwithintherecommendedvariationsofsomecontrolledvariables.Adetailedreportpermitstransmittaloftestresultswithoutimplyingadegreeofcontrolwhichwasnotachieved.1.3Testsonnotchedspecimensarenotincluded.ThesetestsareaddressedinPracticeE292.1.4Testsunderconditionsofshorttimesarenotincluded.ThesetestmethodsareaddressedinTestMethodsE21.1.5ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
