【摘要】:Thistestmethoddescribesalaboratoryprocedureforacceleratingtheagingofprintingandwritingpaperwithinsealedglasstubesthroughexposuretoelevatedtemperaturewithinanoven.Thistestmethodappliestoalltypesofprintingandwritingpaperwhetheritisplainbasepaper,hasinternaladditives,iscoated,isprintedorcontainsanyvariantsofprintingandwritingpaperfoundinnormalusage.Thistestmethodspecifiesthesamplepreparationandconditionsofexposurerequiredtoobtaininformationonthestabilityofpapertoagingwithregardtochangesinmechanicalstrengthpropertiesbroughtaboutbyexposureofsuchpapertoelevatedtemperature.Thistestmethodprovidesthemeanstocomparethestabilityofdifferentpapersonarelativebasis,butdoesnotattempttoprojecttheexactlifeexpectancyforagivenpaper.Lifeexpectancydependsinlargepartonthelimitsofacceptabilitybeyondwhichvariouspaperpropertiesarenolongeruseful,asdefinedbyend-users.Foragivenpaper,thoselimitswillbedifferentfordifferentend-users.Thistestmethoddoesnotprovideameanstomeasureortocalculatesuchlifeexpectancy.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
