【摘要】:(1)ThescopeofEurocode8isdefinedinEN1998-1:2004,1.1.1andthescopeofthisStandardisdefinedin1.1.1.AdditionalpartsofEurocode8areindicatedinEN1998-1:2004,1.1.3.(2)WithintheframeworkofthescopesetforthinEN1998-1:2004,thispartoftheStandardcontainstheparticularPerformanceRequirements,ComplianceCriteriaandApplicationRulesapplicabletothedesignofearthquakeresistantbridges.(3)ThisPartprimarilycoverstheseismicdesignofbridgesinwhichthehorizontalseismicactionsaremainlyresistedthroughbendingofthepiersorattheabutments;i.e.ofbridgescomposedofverticalornearlyverticalpiersystemssupportingthetrafficdecksuperstructure.Itisalsoapplicabletotheseismicdesignofcable-stayedandarchedbridges,althoughitsprovisionsshouldnotbeconsideredasfullycoveringthesecases.(4)Suspensionbridges,timberandmasonrybridges,moveablebridgesandfloatingbridgesarenotincludedinthescopeofthisPart.(5)ThisPartcontainsonlythoseprovisionsthat,inadditiontootherrelevantEurocodesorrelevantPartsofEN1998,shouldbeobservedforthedesignofbridgesinseismicregions.Incasesoflowseismicity,simplifieddesigncriteriamaybeestablished(see2.3.7).(6)ThefollowingtopicsaredealtwithinthetextofthisPart:?BasicrequirementsandComplianceCriteria,?SeismicAction,?Analysis,?StrengthVerification,?Detailing.ThisPartalsoincludesaspecialsectiononseismicisolationwithprovisionscoveringtheapplicationofthismethodofseismicprotectiontobridges.(7)AnnexGcontainsrulesforthecalculationofcapacitydesigneffects.(8)AnnexJcontainsrulesregardingthevariationofdesignpropertiesofseismicisolatorunitsandhowsuchvariationmaybetakenintoaccountindesign.
