【摘要】:1.1ThisspecificationcoversperformancerequirementsforhelmetsusedinBMXcycling.Studieshaveshownhigherrisktotheheadandfaceforthissportascomparedtorecreationalstreetriding;therefore,thisspecificationrequiresimpactprotectionoveralargerareaoftheheadthanSpecificationF1447andtheCPSCstandard.Thisspecificationalsoprovidesperformancecriteriaforhelmetsequippedwithchinbars.1.2AlltestingandrequirementsofthisspecificationshallbeinaccordancewithTestMethodsF1446exceptwherenotedherein.1.3Partialutilizationofthisspecificationisprohibited.Anystatementofcompliancewiththisspecificationshallbeacertificationthattheheadgearwithfaceguardmeetsalloftherequirementsofthespecificationintheirentirety.Aheadgearwithfaceguardthatfailstomeetanyoneoftherequirementsofthisspecificationisconsideredtohavefailedthespecification,andshallnotbesoldwithanyindicationthatitmeetspartsofthespecification.1.4Headgeardesignedtocomplywiththisandotherstandardsmayproclaimusesascertifiedbythemanufacturer.1.5ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
